DIN 1.2344 (X40CrMoV5-1 / H13) is a widely used hot work tool steel known for its excellent combination of toughness, heat resistance and wear resistance. It is commonly used in die casting, forging and extrusion applications where reliable performance at elevated temperatures is required. Compared to ESR grades, standard 1.2344 offers a cost-effective solution for general purpose tooling applications. Bharat Special Steel is a trusted supplier of DIN 1.2344 tool steel, offering ready stock and timely delivery across Delhi NCR and pan India.

Material uniformity, excellent machinability and polishing, high toughness and high plasticity. High wear resistance under high temperature with excellent overall hardness. Good high temperature strength and thermal fatigue resistance with very low heat deformation.
Die-casting moulds including upper dies, nozzles, thimbles, nitrided sleeves and fixtures. Extrusion dies such as moulds, supports, bushings and choke blocks. Pressing dies for aluminium, magnesium and copper alloys including cold cuts, flash, hot shear, preload rings and wear parts.
