

Chromium-molybdenum alloy steel with high strength, toughness and excellent hardenability. Exhibits superior fatigue resistance, wear resistance and impact strength after heat treatment. Maintains good mechanical properties even at elevated temperatures.
Widely used for shafts, gears, bolts, crankshafts, axles, and heavy-duty machine components. Suitable for automotive, oil & gas, forging and engineering industries requiring high strength and reliability.

Annealing: 650–700°C, furnace cooling.
Hardening: 840–880°C, oil quenching.
Tempering: 500–650°C depending on required strength and toughness.

Typical hardness (Q&T): 28–34 HRC (approx).
