

Offers high dimensional stability with excellent polishing characteristics, photo-etching, and EDM performance. Can be pre-hardened for delivery, ensuring good cleanliness. Through calcium treatment, cleanliness is further enhanced, machining performance is improved, and tool wear is reduced.
Used for manufacturing medium- to large-sized plastic moulds and tooling with good machinability, uniform hardness and long service life. Suitable for complex shapes such as plastic injection moulds, blow moulds, compression moulds, die-casting moulds, mould bases and automotive components.

Soft Annealing: 871–899°C, furnace cooling to 400°C.
Austenitizing: 830–870°C.
Quenching: Oil / Air (depending on section size).
Tempering: 2–3 times at 500–650°C.
Working hardness: 28–34 HRC.
Annealed (+A): ≤ 230 HB.
Quenched & Tempered (+QT): 28–32 HRC (±4 HRC).
Higher hardness condition: 32–36 HRC (±4 HRC).
