Low carbon manganese-chromium case-hardening steel with excellent core toughness and high surface hardness after carburizing. Exhibits good hardenability, wear resistance and fatigue strength. Provides a hard wear-resistant case combined with a tough and ductile core.
Widely used for gears, pinions, shafts, bushings, camshafts and transmission components. Suitable for automotive and heavy engineering applications requiring high surface wear resistance and core strength.
