DIN 1.2714 (ESR / Non-ESR) | Hot Work Tool Steel

Characteristics
Chromium–nickel alloyed hot-work tool steel with high low-temperature impact toughness and high thermal fatigue strength, offering excellent resistance to thermal shock. Pre-hardening treatment ensures excellent hardenability; low phosphorus and sulphur content provides excellent polishability.
Applications
Suitable for large-size forging dies, die-casting moulds, extrusion dies, core shafts, columns, sleeves, mould bases, backing plates, stamping dies, mould components, deep engraving moulds, die-casting machine containers, thermoforming moulds, hot bending dies, hot roll hammer tools, and hot stamping tools.
